Dr Joe
How and what is the best way to recognise progress ? People are telling me i'm doing well but i still feel stuck. Long distance relationship is ok but am about to return home to a big change for my daughter. How can i learn to trust myself in so many ways ? Will be starting high intensity cbt soon. C |

I often suggest that you go back to Self-Coaching and retake the quizzes. Over time you should see your scores beginning to improve. Other than that, don't be too stubborn or too black and white about your progress...keep an open mind and most of all be sure to be cultivating an OPMISTIC attitude, i.e., begin to anticipate progress rather than deny it!

Recently found out teenage daughter (18) is preggers. My partner lives 500 miles away and although her b/f is sticking by her this all feels huge. When my anxiety is at its worst i can eat. Im using my new skills but an very much on a rollercoaster. My plans for moving away in a couple of years may have to change but i want to be there for my daughter. Ironically my anxiety started after i had my daughter ....i dont want the same for her.
